The Left's Ideological Village Idiot

He just cannot stop blaming Bush. No, I am not talking about Obama. The March 18th Ope-Ed in the NYT from writer and Liberal torch bearer Paul Krugman reminds me of a badly written song skipping over and over on a broken record. In the Op-Ed he equates the invasion of Iraq to our current fiscal demise. I couldn't resist. I cut out the article (stole it) stuffed it into my pocket and here I am. I could think of only one person up to the task.

".. It was obvious... the Bush Administration misled the nation into war.." Simply amazing, this guy never stops does he? He is adroit at the paradigm; keep repeating the same lie and it becomes truth. This isn't the first rodeo for old Paul either. A few months back I watched him on Bill Moyers talk about why the Obama economic plan wasn't going as swimmingly as it should. After he performed his dog and pony show of blaming Bush and Republicans his summation amounted to the fact that Obama hadn't spent enough money and more was needed (insert definition of insanity here). His master full misrepresentation of Ari Fliesher's comment following the firing of Bill Mayer at ABC, "..be careful what you say." was completely taken out of context and became another banner of the leftist anti-war movement.. It was nothing short of where the line between journalistic integrity ends and pure pandering begins.

How? Some one help me here, please. How did President Bush purposely orchestrate a lie that led us into war in Iraq? Intelligence agencies here and around the world were all convinced of the evidence.
From FOX News' John Gibson's book How The Left Swiftboated America:
" Saddam Hussein had convinced every one. even his own generals, that he had WMD. His actions toward the UN weapons inspectors strongly suggested he was hiding something.... his capabilities of restarting a bio-weapons program... had not been diminished."
Then there was the Senate Select Committe on Intelligence report:
" Regarding the Iraq/Al-Qaeda relationship reporting from sources... points to a number of contacts, incidents of training and discussions of Iraqi safe haven for UBL... dating from the early 1990's.."
Foreign nations told us they sold him equipment for weaponizing chemical and biological agents. The use of chemical weapons during the Iran/Iraq war is well documented. There was also the mass murder of over 5000 Kurds with WMD. Try telling a surviving Kurdish family member that there were no WMD and he will punch you in the face.

Krugman continues: " ... during the run up to the war, was the illusion of consensus."
That's not how I remember it. The left was constantly reminding us that there was no consensus at all either from Congress or the UN. However, as the debates moved along and a coalition began to form the Left turned the argument around and denigrated those nations who came on board. They tagged it, "the coalition of the willing".
It was Krugman and another journalist with a thimble full of integrity, Frank Rich who beat the drum of defeat in Iraq despite the surge, despite the elections that ushered in the Maliki government. As far as I know, Iraq still has a democratically elected government and has no tolerance for Al-Qaeda.
Krugman further explains how this "consensus" and "the argument (for it) was circular". Circular? Again, some one help me here. If there is a "consensus" to go to war (which the left kept telling us there wasn't) after seventeen UN resolutions, the on again off again inspections and it is an "illusion": Isn't that drawing together of international partners something the Left would be pleased with?
Yes, as long as it falls inside the narrow purview of Leftist political theory. In other words the "consensus" to go to war was the wrong "consensus". They should have consented not to go to war. That would have been the right "consensus". Well, I am sure glad we have Krugman to decide that for us.

Here is where Krugman takes this nutty idea all the way to Crazytown.
He is convinced that the correct "consensus" over our economic problems are "... closely associated with the taking of sides... exaggerated and inappropriate."
Inappropriate? Having a different opinion is inappropriate?
Yes, because it falls outside the narrow purview of Leftist political theory.
I guess all the GAO reports, hundreds of economists, think tanks, business leaders, even history itself are totally wrong.
".... now, as then we have the illusion of consensus, an illusion based on a process in which anyone questioning the preferred narrative is immediately marginalized".
That is simply not true. And what is this "preferred narrative" anyways? That the current economic policy is the correct "consensus"? Does the collapse of the Euro, high unemployment, constant fiscal cliffs, our own entitlement mess and the reckless policies of the Fed mean nothing? Does that mean we are to be marginalized because we are of the wrong "consensus"?
I guess that all depends on what side of  "consensus" you consent to "consensus" upon.

" Bad economic policy isn't the moral equivalent of a war fought on false pretenses."
Yes it is Mr. Krugman! It is exactly the moral equivalent.  You speak of a "consensus" based on a false premise only because you disagreed with it. Does not mean you are correct in your assertions. Then, you use the same argument to justify a policy that is bankrupting this country. You cannot have your cake and eat it too Mr. Krugman. Maybe that works in Liberal BizarroWorld but not in the real one and I see your ruse. You do not get to pick and choose "moral equivalents" to supprt your idea. What is right is right and what is wrong is wrong and you, Sir, are wrong.
For the past decade all we have heard from the Left is how the Iraq war and the War on Terror has exploded the national debt and made the country less safe yet miraculously  when we debate our debt vis-a-vis bad economic policy; the argument no longer applies? The moral equivalent is exactly the same!
Like war, bad economic policy adversely affects people. Like war, bad economic policy gets people killed. Innocent people. Like war, bad economic policy threatens our national security, destroys the fabric of society, infrastructure, separates families and diminishes the educational and health of children. Like war, Mr. Krugman, bad economic policy tends to displace millions of people as is evident from all the foreclosed homes and people out of work. They become economic refugees.

Don't you dare denigrate the good name of all those who served from all over the world to free a nation from a dictator then hide behind your lofty ideals and a President who is hell bent on destroying The United States of America through a fucking "consensus" of like minded Socialists!
" What we should have learned from the Iraq debacle was.... you should never rely on supposed authority..."
Really, Mr. Krugman? Well thank you very much for your "circular argument" You have just come completely 360 degrees to utterly defeat your own thesis. Does that "supposed authority" include you and the NYT just because you are all in "consensus"?
    Yes, it does!
And if that is so, then it is the "consensus" of this writer that you Mr. Paul Krugman are the Left's ideological village idiot..

Lonesome Joe And His Uncle Huey

What the hell is Joe Kennedy going to do now? Well, no need to fret Joe the world is full of plenty of third world despots just lining up with their zippers down. Time to break out the knee pads again.
Joe Kennedy touted Fat-Ass as a "soldier of the little man" (really, he supported dwarfs?) all the while declaring himself President for life. Joe and his wife both raked in over one million dollars a year giving away Uncle Huey's free oil to old ladies and welfare moms. Happy, smiley faced Fascism.
Before the make up was even dry at the funeral home Amherst and The People's Republic of Cambridge lowered their flags to half staff. This was, initially problematic for the  Communist enclave of Amherst. They voted a few years ago not to fly American flags anywhere within city limits so some one had to drive to a Wal-mart to purchase a Chinese made one. You see, this was a special occasion.
In Caracas a business was closed for the day in solidarity of all the thousands more that were shut down by Uncle Huey's Socialism. The NY Times wrote: ".. Mr. Chavez, 58, changed Venezuela in fundamental ways (sounds familiar), empowering and energizing millions of poor people." There was no mention of jobs or Liberty.
His VP immediately convened his Cabinet into "crisis" mode because he didn't want it to go to waste. So, they expelled two American diplomats who were accused of recruiting Venezuelan military in "destabilizing projects." VP Maduro even tossed out the idea that it was the US of A that may have caused Uncle Huey's cancer.
... I love the smell of a black bag operation in the morning. It smells like... Victory.

Venezuela's superior Socialized Healthcare system apparently wasn't superior enough so the Presidente Por Vida Todamente was flown to another Socialist country, whose equally superior Socialized Healthcare system gave him VIP treatment while the pleebs were kept outside waiting for basic checkups.
Professor Javier Corrales of Amherst College (all the important opinions) lent this tid-bit of political expertise: " In regimes that are so person based, the moment the person on which everything hangs is removed, the entire foundation becomes very weak because there was nothing else supporting this other than this figure." Really?
After I recovered from laughter and changed my pants I wanted to write something but I do not need the Secret Service up my ass. Suffice to say: Insert Barack Hussein Obama.
Doctor of Psychiatry Edmundo Chiranas who (according to the NYT) "got to know" Chavez as a patient (yep, he had a shrink) said this in a 2001 New Yorker article: ".... a hyper kinetic and imprudent man, unpunctual,.... overreacts to criticism, harbors grudges, is politically astute and manipulative.."
    Insert Barack Hussein Obama.

His democratic election (wink-wink) in 1998 was cast as a "patriotic uprising" while his political opposition (cause this is a freedom loving country) who tried to overthrow him in 2002 were (his words); "golpistas" and "putschists". I guess it all depends on what side of fascism you lean towards.
His brand of Socialism was a model for the despotic world to envy. Every single one of Uncle Huey's goals were met. Thousands of investors, scientists, doctors and teachers fled the country in a mass exodus only to be replaced with Iranians, Chinese, Lebanese and North Koreans. The homicide rate soared after he took away every one's guns.
Liberal scientists are still trying to figure that one out.
Simply transferring a title to property became a Olympian odyssey as officials grew wealthy from bribes. His manipulation of the media and the bully pulpit became the playbook of the DNC. His Airbus-319 was opulent. Sean Penn spent many hours aboard. Knee pads were supplied courtesy of the proletariat.
But Chavez worked hard at expanding his diplomatic relations around the world. He and Achmed-Wacka-Job had a travelling show that made a few appearances here at the UN from time to time. He was bosom buddies with Qadaffi and called his murder an "outrage" (overused Lib terminology). He had nothing but good things to say about the technological and humanitarian advancements in Cuba and North Korea. He trully loved his country. He and his mistress, Herma Marksman, would drive around the country with the top down for hours together.
Man!.. Third world despots always score the babes! Can you imagine the satellite shots from above with her head in his lap?

What is Joe Kennedy thinking? If JFK was still alive he would bitch slap Joe and tell him to smarten up and Bobby would be holding him down in the process. The usual LSM covered his death all across their front pages.
    But I was not worried.
Hugo Chavez joins a long list of despots relegated to the dustbin of history and he will be forgotten. At most he will be a T-shirt much like his hero.. Che.

The Communist Circus Comes To Town

I had arrived late to the meeting. The Banx Room at the Worcester Public Library held roughly two dozen twenty-something "comrades" (their words). They were all starry eyed and hopped up on talk of revolution. The topic was about victims of Capitalism. I always find the 'victim' moniker very misleading. I know we live in the age of victimization and the broadcasting to the world there-of but I have never felt victimized by my employer. I always negotiated good pay, was able to dictate my own schedule, invested in my benefactors and thoroughly enjoyed my vacation pay. The only time I ever felt victimized is when I was laid off due to the shitty economy that seems to be the norm in 21'st century America. And that had nothing to do with the company. It was always due to government dictated economic policy, er..Socialism.
Evil capitalist Dunkin Donuts was being served. A twenty something sipped merrily, hanging on every word from the speaker as she text-ed on her I-phone. Sorry, her evil capitalist I-phone.

The organization is called Socialist Alternative to Worcester. Here is the link:

    http://www.socialistalternative.org/

It is important to know that these guys are affiliated with the Committee for a Workers International... Yeah, these guys are pure Communists. Supposedly the CWI operates in several countries that are models of human endeavor.... I refilled my coffee. This was going to be interesting.
They weren't a bad bunch of kids, actually. All of them were totally unshaven yet very polite. They truly believed in what they were lied to about. They reminded me of a deer caught in the headlights of a Ford Truck somewhere in Maine..We all know how that ends. Much like how Socialism ends.
The conversation with one of it's Commandants was very amicable. However I was soon surrounded as my questions reeled off. It wasn't until I was finished and left that I realized I had my Worcester Tea Party button firmly affixed to my backpack.. And they noticed!

It seems that this "new" Socialist Movement rejects the the failed policies of 1917 Bolshevism. I was relieved cause I had a bus to catch and God forbid it was late, the driver may have been executed. There was one "comrade" who spent time on the 38th Parallel  in the US Army and he claimed to know and see the failures of the past..Phew!!..Dodged a bullet there. Just not quite not sure from whom.
Their consensus is squarely fixed on Unions, Feminism, Immigration, Environment, Rights,... ahhh, pensions (wait, let me check my notes..).. Republicans, Global Warming. ...You get my drift.
This had me confused for a moment. I have been doing this whole Meat And Potatoes thing for the past five years and I have yet to find any evidence of how women, blacks and immigrants are some how discriminated against in the workplace. I could have sworn we solved all this shit back in the 60's and 70's.. Was that not the job of the "Counter Culture" (ie Socialists)..??
Soooo...Why is this still a problem?... Ooooh... cause it was a failure? ON THEIR PART?
And what the hell is so wrong with  a Constitutional Republic? Seems it allows the Socailists to gather and debate.. As is evident from where I was last Saturday.

It was solved not only (despite of) Government regulation....It just, plain and simply happened.
Quick question!.. Any one reading this (black, female, gay, alien from another planet).. Are you discriminated against?.. I thought so... And so didn't you! NO ONE CARES ANYMORE!!! Equality is here. Just look around at your work place tomorrow. If you have one (thanks Socialism).

We have reached parity. So why the Socialist Movement? Well, if you still have an axe to grind, these guys are your new BFF. Cause it is all about you.. Well, not really 'you', rather, "the collective".

One of the first tenets of social and political change is to create a crisis. Hitler burned down the Chancellery ( blamed on Communist). Mussolini blamed it on the former government and rampant unemployment (take note America). Castro had an American imposed Fiat, then Bay of Pigs. Che was just a crazy motherfucker. Today we have massive unemployment and orbital deficits (all manufactured) and a soap opera of Congressional/ Administration arguments over crisis after crisis. And NO I am not entertaining the whole 9/11 conspiracy thing.. Smoke another one on me.
Allow me to shed some light on this Phenom...

From Prf. John Feeny, "Congress Shall Make No Law Abridging Freedom Of Speech" 2009.

"Cloward /Piven Crisis Strategy-- Strategy for forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. First proposed in 1966 and named after Columbia University sociologist Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven.. (Obama went to this school and studied this political idea). "... seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.."

Well...Isn't that special? Is it any wonder we have crisis after crisis after crisis? Thus we usher in... Socialism. I wrote in an earlier blog what Cong. Ron Paul said about how government creates the crisis then delites in how they solve it.
Is it any wonder (also) why Dr. Carson, who gave the impromptu speech at the broadcast with the Anointed One held captive (you could see him squirming) said what he said to put a drop of sanity into a political regime that knows only insanity?

Socialism demands more from the government. Unfortunately Margarette Thacher was correct in her statement, "..eventually you run out of other people's money". I asked this question to the Socialists I met with. It turned into a  litany of how Bill Gates did not create  something but rather it was his workers who created the wealth of Bill Gates..Yeah, it went no where.. Bill Gates did create something and he allowed his hired help to expand and he let loose the innovation of American ingenuity to expand upon his idea.
Hell, I created an idea, but I would be nothing without the help of all who have assisted me. Does not mean I did not create The Meat And Potatoes Show. I was just intelligent enough to allow others who could help me expand upon my idea... It is called  Business, It is called ideas and the ability to let those ideas grow and create an industry. Does that mean I am a cruel Capitalist?

The conversation at the meeting steered towards statistics of peole who have been left behind due to the lack of National Healthcare. This was a bald faced lie. There are dozens of State and Federal programs that could help the most indigent of Americans. All they have to do is sign up. These programs exist at churches, advocacy groups (Obama's favorite) and social services offices. All of these are Socialist programs. I wonder if their chief complaint is that: the very programs they profess fall short of the expectations of the core belief's these Socialist groups aspire to.

Well, even the Soviet Union had death panels. Look how well that system worked out. In fact, how's that "hope and change you can believe in" working out for you?

Congressman McGovern's Shameless Exploitation

It was a veritable 'who's who' of anti-gun advocate panelists last Friday night at the Boys and Girls Club on Tainter Street in Worcester Mass. Only about five of the eighty five attendees were staunch Second Amendment supporters. The panel, headed up by Congressman Jim Rubberstamp McGovern, wasted no time in the salacious exploitation of a private citizen's personal pain. Mrs. Marcy Johnson spoke of her thirteen year old son paralyzed by a stray bullet. Earlier, in Westford Mass, the town Selectman held a special town meeting with much the same goal in mind. Unfortunately it didn't quite work out for him as he wanted. More on that later.
The usual boogieman was the gun industry and gun lobbyists. You see some lobbyists are good and others are bad. The intent of Friday's meeting was to denigrate the 'bad' lobbyists. I will let Rubberstamp Jim explain: "... it requires every one's help of standing up to very powerful, well funded special interests.."
    He was right!
Sitting alongside of the guy who raided millions for a campaign he had no opponent in were many other powerful, well funded special interests. At the head table were John Rosenthal of the Stop Handgun Violence organization, Worcester Police Chief Gary Bribe Me Gemme, North Hampton Mayor David Narkewitcz. This guy from the U-Mass Lib Land area belongs to a cabal of mayors against illegal guns. Well, at least he is concentrating on "illegal" guns. Strange, since his next door neighbor of Amherst doesn't recognize "illegal aliens" and gives them sanctuary. Hey, it is BizarroWorld don't ask me to explain it. Rounding out the panel was the famous 'acting' Commissioner of the Worcester Health Department Dr. Michael Hirsh. I wrote about him in an earlier blog.
So, apparently the good Congressman was correct in his statement of  "powerful, well funded special interests."

But John Rosenthal gets the Golden Foot In The Mouth Award for his blurt to the audience in attendance.
" Those who oppose gun laws argue that people need to have the same weapons that the military has. That they cannot trust the government or law enforcement ( I'm with you on that JR) and that they need to be armed to the hilt to defend themselves against a renegade government (still with ya' JR) But, the government has nuclear weapons, planes and tanks.."
Excuse me? Nuclear weapons? Planes and tanks?
So, even if we keep our high capacity automatic weapons we will still be woefully underarmed against government tyranny. I think that was what he was trying to say but some how I doubt it.
... And the award goes to...
That took the cake for me. I was ready to hand the Golden Foot In The Mouth Award to the Westford Selectman when he realized his town meeting went straight to hell after the room was SRO with gun rights advocates and other citizens who then voted the assault ban down in the town of Westford. He is quoted as saying: ".. wasn't getting the discussion we wanted." The Selectman was later seen sucking his thumb and holding a blanket after the meeting.

None of these forums ever take into account facts and numbers. Liberals hate facts. They are stubborn things and tend to discredit the impassioned plea of the victims and the intentions of the lawmakers who exploit them. According to a USA Today study published 2/22/13 over the past seven years only three of the 934 mass shootings were in schools. "...it is a rare event.." says Northeastern U. Criminologist James Allen. Over 40% of those shootings were domestically linked or the perp knew the vic in some way. Gun crime is truly an act of violence against another person. The gun is only a means to an end. The USA report did not break down the other numbers. It didn't matter, I went back to a source for them.
I had the pleasure of speaking to Reid K. Smith, who is at Wayne State U., on my radio show a couple years back. He is a great advocate of changing the conceal carry laws on campus. He started this movement after the Virginia Tech shooting. He told me on the radio show that less than 1/10th of 1% of all shootings are committed by legal gun owners in the United States.
He took the rare step of doing some research. Then he spoke publicly about it. Thanks Reid.
That means (quite literally) that over 99.99% of all shootings are committed by criminals with illegally owned guns. Regardless of how you slice up the pie people who take the ownership of guns seriously are not the target audience for more gun control. We should be looking to round up the nut bags and gangs out there who get them illegally.... I need a sedative.
Couple that with the statistics that rate cities with the strictest gun laws such as Chicago and Washington DC that ban all guns within city limits have the highest gun violence. Criminals could care less. Lets also not forget what happened to the citizens of Australia after they passed comprehensive gun banning. Crime jumped double digits within weeks

Again, the correlation between guns and tobacco were raised by one audience member at Friday's meeting. It was the boilerplate use of how Congress acting changed the industry. God forbid any American should accept responsibility for their actions. We'll just let government pass a law.
All the new laws and regulations have done was create new revenue for the government. Victims be damned. As I wrote in another blog the overwhelming majority of money raised after the tobacco laws were passed went to everything under the sun except health. You think the new gun laws will have anything to do with crime prevention? Does the Healthcare bill have anything to do with Healthcare? This, despite a referendum passed in 1994 from the citizens of Massachusetts that over 40% of all tobacco taxes and fines go to healthcare.
Essentially the nonsense from the Left is going to ratchet up. This, in the face of a growing Resistance movement spreading across the nation. Over 300 people showed up at the Statehouse in Communist Vermont in support of their Second Amendment rights. To date there have been two protests in two cities here in Massachusetts over as many months.
( Author's Note: I must say, I read the T+G article on the 2/23/13 rally on Lincoln Square. The writer was very good at being factual and objective. I was there and the article was well done.)

It is called 'freak-out politics'. The Libs at the helm know only this. It will take the will and force of the American people who will stand up and demand rights. The shameless exploitation of a mother's anguish carries no weight in this debate but, will be the 'banner yet waved' by the purveyors of freak-out politics.
I cannot fathom the agony of a lost child to gun violence. I can only pray I never will. Even so, I hope my knowledge and evolved sensibilities will steer me through with logic and not blind emotion. Liberals are all about how someone 'feels' never what someone thinks.

Same Old Story, Same Old Song And Dance

The fluttering of Leftist hearts across America were a cacophony the night of the State of the Union speech. The stirring performance, the command of the stage, the inability to give the correct envelope to the correct person. There wasn't a dry eye in the room. That is, until POTUS laid down over twenty nine new programs. The tears quickly turned to aneurysms.
And he has at least three more of these events ahead of him.
My ambivalence towards the President is overshadowed by my utter disdain for the Republican who occupy both chambers of Congress. After all, I expect this boiler plate  rhetoric from the Anointed One. It is the fecklessness of the Republicans that makes me want to jump into a wood chipper.
These turncoats will huff and they will puff but they will never blow the house down. Instead they will just jump down the chimney and fry. We will hear time and time again how close we are to another 'cliff' or another 'shutdown' only to find out that the sheep in wolves's clothing has backed away and 'compromised". After all, isn't that what bipartisanship is all about? The majority in power making the minority not in power look impotent. All we need now is for Speaker Boehner to cry at his next pres conference. That always goes over well Johnny.

"Already the Affordable Healthcare Act is helping to slow the growth of health-care costs." His Almighty has proclaimed. However, Investor's Business Daily's Jed Graham (2/14/13) opens up his article with this little dose of reality.
"A new Obamacare rule sends a strong signal to modest income families that they can no longer afford to work for firms that offer affordable health coverage."...... YAY!
Cornell University's Richard Birkhauser calls it "... a no man's land." Employer based insurance is skyrocketing yet the median income of modest income workers puts them over the threshold to qualify for the AHA.... NICE.
In addition, if these modest income earners do not fork over the cash for their employer's coverage then the happy-go-lucky folks at the IRS will fine them every April 15th.... Isn't Socialism grand?

Between the fiscal cliff deal supposedly aimed at the 1% (it isn't) and the AHA which was supposed to bring down health care costs and help the poor (it doesn't) Americans of all income levels are getting royally screwed with out even the courtesy of a reach around either.
Aetna predicts their premiums to jump 20-50%. The Kaiser Foundation has discovered that employees will be facing astronomical deductibles with increases as high as 34%. Jed Graham of IBD calls the President's claims "..out of touch with trends in the private workforce."... What a shocka!! The guy is a total Communist who has never held a job a day in his life. What the hell did we expect?
And do not expect the Republicans to do anything about this either. It would be like that scene from the movie Planet of the Apes where Charlton Heston tries to argue with the Ministers of Science. The camera changes angles to show the three ministers in that classic 'hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil' pose. That's ok, Heston gets them all back in the second movie.. He blows the freakin' planet up. Maybe we can get Achmed-Al-Wacka-Job in Tehran and his sidekick Minnie-Me from North Korea to do that for us.

It is all the same crap from this idiot at the helm. Spend and tax more with all his mal-informed minions on board the Magical Misery Tour.
There is this guy who comes into the place I work at and he was all excited about $9 and hour. He wanted to know when all this was going down. He was so grateful for the crumbs bestowed upon him by the corpulent benefactors in Washington DC I simply didn't have the heart to burst his delusional balloon.
He wasn't alone either. All day long EBT wielding citizens  had nothing but praise for the Condemner In Chief I decided to remain silent for fear of my own safety lest I speak ill of He whose name shall not be spoken.
It is simply mind boggling how we can put a finger on evidence of government screw up after government screw up and the American people still expect government to solve the problems and get their act together. Isn't that the definition of insanity?
After decade so f regulations and tax loopholes that send jobs overseas the President wants to create fifteen ( that is a 1 and a 5) business zones across America. There is only one problem with that. It is the decades of regulations and tax loopholes that send jobs overseas.
It will take years of regulatory hurdles just to acquire the property. It will take more years of regulatory hurdles just to tear the buildings down (as well as lawsuits). Still more years to obtain the zoning and permits to erect the new buildings which will all be performed by the donors from construction unions instead of the unemployed slobs who live right next door to these eye sores.

It was about halfway through the speech that my dog was scratching at the door to be let out. I took her outside to her run to hook her up. This took a few minutes of searching for the lead in the dark. I must have been out there a good 5-8 minutes. Upon returning to my television I was struck with the most profound epiphany. The President was still droning on and I hadn't missed a single thing he said.
He must certainly be an Aerosmith fan because his speech was the same old story, same old song and dance.

Make The Character More Likable

It has been suggested to me by some associates that I should not be so open about my political opinion on various pages I post upon and hold accounts. One page is considered  'professional' in nature and that I should refrain my obvious Conservative opinion and links to The Lexington Green. ".... you might alienate potential employers " was one critique.
And who would that alienated employer be? Some one I wouldn't want to work for in the first place was my immediate summation. If some one was to find my writing favorable then my political leanings become rather germain to my eventual goal of of working in Conservative Media. The creator of the FX Channel was in USA Today last week and he spoke of why he started the network. All of his story ideas would come back from the big networks rejected. All of them had attached notes with a recurring theme. The notes read, "can you make the character more likable?"
Make the character more likable? The character is supposed to be a serial killer, he's supposed to be a drug addict. That is the main point of the story! I am not here to become more likable. I am here to speak to the power of truth, not truth to power. I could please everyone by making my product more palatable. That would be speaking truth to power. Imbue my words to give them meaning, immersing myself in the theme, etc, etc...Oh, shoot me!
My soul and my convictions won't allow it. Instead I prefer to speak to the power of truth. I prefer to write about the things that will make the reader ponder, question and then act. I produce all my own material and perform all the research. Unlike many print journalists and politicians I have no problem taking full responsibility for my content.     We see this very same 'cringing' from within our political process from Republicans. They think by being more 'likable' they can win again. They print media and the GOP itself is infected with this bug of being more moderate. It is as if we have a bizarre form of Stockholm Syndrome. We have been captives of the ideologies of the Left for decades to the point where we are actively thinking we might like it. If we become more like our oppressors they might let us go. It is an unalterable, powerful truth that most of the Republican candidates who softened their Conservatism  not only lost the elections anyways but they lost a piece of their souls. They lost their integrity and thus alienated their 'future employers'. The American people.
Lt. Col. Allen West lost his re-election due in part to becoming a shill for the Republican Campaign Committee. Besides his voting record he was the strong arm for the RCC. His job was to collect the checks from the freshman Congressmen and send them to the RCC offices. What that Marine should have been doing is telling the RCC to go pound sand and speak to the power of truth and expose the entire scandal. Would he have been re-elected? Well, like the narrator of the old Tootsie-Pop commercial said, "..the world may never know." However, I would have loved to have seen that campaign and Col. West would still have his integrity and my respect.
Scott Brown lost his bid in part to his support for NDAA and Feinstein's obsession with tables full of guns. His rhetoric of being 'independent' is a farce. If he was really independent then he would have exposed the whole lie of NDAA just as he exposed the insider trading scandal of legislators. Now that is independence!

In the Boston Herald last Sunday (2/11/13) political writer and lawyer Jennifer Braceras tosses out some unsupported quotes  from The Tea Party and Conservative talk show hosts. I would never do that. I would mention the name, the date, the place. The topic of the conversation was in trying to find more principled candidates. I could tell her premise was bogus. I quote: ".. maybe now we can get someone (candidate) who's actually Conservative, they whisper."
I have no idea who you were talking to from The Tea Party Jen, but as someone who is an active member of the Tea Party, some one who has spoken at rallies, planned events, interviewed and written about the organization I can tell you for certain that The Tea Party at large doesn't endorse any particular candidate to begin with. Our attempts at finding principled leaders isn't  something we 'whisper' about it is one of our foremost, guiding tenets.

If there is to be a criteria for citizen journalism it should be that the writer passionately be truthful in what he/she writes. In doing so there is no barrier the author cannot overcome. There is no critique that can stick from the opposition. By sticking to the facts the writing becomes impervious to ridicule and becomes powerful. It forces the opposition to spend an inordinate amount of time fact checking. Once it realizes there are no misrepresentations the opposition is reduced to name calling and is thus exposed for the charade it is.
Anyone, anywhere can toss up a plate full of truth and empower it. What is that saying we hear? For every statistic there is another statistic that contradicts the first. So, which one do we believe? We believe the one that is true not the one we want to believe is true. We must believe what is proven to be true.
Liberalism is rife with truths that are empowered. Conservatism, on the other hand, is simply powered by the truth.

The Political Football Game Halftime Show

Karen Hughes is wrong. Her assessment of the current state of the Republican party is way off the mark. She is just regurgitating the same standard lines HER boss is telling her to say. Jesus H. F-ing Christ! I should have run for the chairmanship!
Here is what we really need to do.
We need a candidate with star power. We need a candidate who is so conservative he/she scares the bee-jeezus out of other Conservatives. We should never apologize and never step back from our positions. God knows the Liberals never do. We have nothing to lose.... Oh, you mean we would lose the election? Of course we will. We would have anyway no matter who we toss onto a soapbox. The Democrat Machine is well oiled and well financed here is BizarroWorld.
The point is that this whole hand wringing over Scott Brown has got to stop. He is out, party over, everyone go home. It is ten to one that Gail asked him not to run again. That campaign treadmill is a killer on a marriage. I do not blame her one single bit. Besides give Scott some credit here. Any man worth his salt knows that when the wife says no the answer is no. The second coming of Christ will not dislodge a woman's resolve.
The GOP pushing Tagg Romney makes us look foolish and desperate. Tossing any warm body onto the stage will end in disaster. Let Markey win, he will anyway. The People's Republic of Massachusetts has this thing all sewn up that's why Markey was chosen. Lynch is just there for good press. He knows he will lose and he doesn't care. He still gets his raise, his new car and a remodelled office.

Hunker down GOP. Let us marshall the forces of grassroots politics and creep our way into every facet of the local political scene we can find. Be the water under that dry sponge of entrenched Liberal Democrat control and seep our way right up to the top. Let the Democrats dig that hole deeper, let them take the whole state down along with them. Meanwhile we Conservatives will have been working behind the scenes shaking hands, building relationships and creating the next wave of  Conservative Republican Government. The Democrats are in their heady days of Oligarchist Socialism right now. They have the hubris to think they can get away with anything and they can because they do. As the situation deteriorates society will be desperate for a way out. This will coincide with the next big election cycles of 2014 and 2016. If Conservatives play their cards right and stick to the plan between now and then we could pull off a decisive win.... Maybe.
The problem is it is idiots like Karen Hughes, Michael Steele and the rest of the  Republican bobble-heads in charge who consistently drop the ball just inches from the end zone. In 2010 I interviewed Commander Kirk Lippold of the USS Cole. He was running for Congress out in his district in Nevada. Just 48 hours before I was to go on air I get an e-mail from his campaign manager cancelling the interview. Turns out the Nevada state GOP ended up picking some other guy as their man and demanded Lippold cancel all press and not talk of his campaign. I quickly scrambled together another interview and managed to get the Commander onto the show anyways.
Guess what we ended up talking about?..The campaign and all the shenanigans behind the scene.
You see, the Commander had that star power I spoke of earlier. He was the right man for the right job, perfectly placed at the perfect time. God himself couldn't have done better. But the GOP dropped the ball and went with some nobody and lost big. They felt that the other guy was more likable, more happy faced and almost just like a Democrat.

The state has the Democratic Machine running 24/7/365. We need to be determined to accept nothing but our Conservative values and nothing less than absolute , unconditional victory based on those values. If we compromise to be more 'like Democrats' then we will not only lose elections we will lose our souls as Conservatives.
Every time the San Francisco 49'ers went to the Superbowl they won. It was already in the bag that they would win this one as well. But a determined opponent with only victory on their minds who slogged their way to the top was to face them this time around. In the end it was the Ravens who picked apart an entrenched dynasty and took victory away.
