Well, it looks like there will be no legalized gambling in the city of Worcester. That is a shame because I was looking forward to losing the grocery money every week. Not that a casino was the brightest idea from the city council but it was a lot better than what we have in Kelly Square now. A Superfund site. I swear I lose hair every time I walk past that place. I think the ground is still warm from the strontium buried underneath.
For those of you not familiar, the site is the former location of one of Wyman Gordon's weapons factories. WG was part of that whole military industrial complex. They used to make bombs and stuff back when cars were really, really big and we knew who the enemy was. They would toss the waste out the window.
It doesn't surprise me that the developer of the casino packed up his tent and let out of town early. Massachusetts is just like California when it comes to new jobs and businesses.. You got it, they are all leaving. The people are leaving, companies are leaving. Some how my ex wife is still here though. Between the taxes, regulations and the political mooks with their hands in the cookie jar is it any wonder this guy took a powder and split?
I saw the drawings. They looked great!
The city and the state made a laundry list of demands which keeps changing like a laundry list in a house full of kids. Not only did this guy have to clean up the zombie sludge-( Wait a second. Wasn't this place a Superfund site? Trust the state of Massachusetts to spend billions of taxpayer dollars and have absolutely nothing to show for it.)- he had to grease the palms of the local officials with a $200,000 bond just to enter negotiations with the city. He was required to hire and train a "special unit" of the Worcester police trained in gambling crime. He had to fully fund a gambling addiction hotline and counseling center, put up a hotel somewhere else in the city, fix Kelly Square (God Almighty can't even perform that miracle), mow the Chief of Police's lawn for a year, wipe the mayor's ass and submit an "environmental impact study"... An environmental impact study?? The place is a toxic waste dump for Christ's sake! The entire population of Worcester could take a post drinking binge dump on the site and it would actually improve the place!!
Then there is the guy who is behind the Canal District. He wanted his share of the take. He has some hair-brained scheme to dig up Harding Street and re-expose the Blackstone Canal. Give the city that "old'e timey" look.
I saw the drawings. They looked great!
Now all of that sounds nice but have any of you taken a walk around the city lately? I bike it everyday. The place is a dump.
I do not mean "dump" as in shabby old buildings and broken infrastructure.... OK, I do mean that but that is beside the point. I mean the place is a trash dump. Every street is festooned with scratch tickets, recycling that never made it into the truck, old car parts, Dunkin Donut cups and McDonald's bags. All of it swirling around on a breezy day or washing down the hills in a thunderstorm.
It really is that bad. I know first hand. The people are the culprits. I work a part time job overnight. First thing I do is clean up the parking lot. A few hours later... I clean up the parking lot. Before I hand off the morning shift I... Clean up the parking lot.
Can you imagine what the poor Blackstone River would look like in a month if it was exposed in the middle of Kelly Square? Especially with lots of drunk gamblers wandering around? The only solution would be to cover it over with a huge sheet of plexi-glass. Hey, maybe we can fund it with EBT appropriations money. No body at the Statehouse tracks that money anyways.
This whole debacle reminds me of the Taunton dog track episode a few years back. The Leftie animal rights nuts got a referendum on the ballot to save the poor greyhounds. With lies, thug politics and a healthy dose of low information voters Massachusetts outlawed dog racing. A one hundred plus year old industry that supported roughly 30,000 jobs in and around Taunton vanished with a stroke of a voter's pencil. It was declared a victory for the greyhounds. That is until three semi's showed up, packed up all the dogs and shipped them to Connecticut to race at their track. Taunton and the next door neighbor Raynham are ghost towns now.
This also reminds me of my departed brother Phillip Maider. He raised, trained and fed his family on dog racing. None of the media hype was true.
It is also the same bullshit surrounding the Wamponoag Indian tribe trying to get their casino going. It is all fun and games until everyone realizes the game is rigged (yes, pun intended). After a year of political hurdles with Massachusetts, the Federal Bureau of Indian Affairs shut down the whole party. God forbid Native Americans should work and get off public assistance.
But there in lies the rub. States like Massachusetts, New York and California don't actually, really WANT jobs. It might create independence... It might create opportunity. Who would vote Democrat?
A casino isn't the magic pill to cure our economic ailment. It is only an "opportunity" for others. It is an opportunity to get a job, maybe buy a car, save for something, get off of welfare finally. And we can't have a private company eating into a state run monopoly can we?
For, in a Liberal thug state like Massachusetts you have a better chance of success if you play the lottery...
....And That Is The Diatribe....

The Common Core Of Elementary Power
" Preach, my dear Sir, a crusade against ignorance; establish and improve the law for educating the common people." Thomas Jefferson 1787 writing from France to his friend, a teacher, George Wythe in the new Republic.
In order for a sustained political movement to exist and to endure it must be fed a constant supply of wide eyed as well as dull eyed followers trained from the cradle in the doctrinaire of that said political movement wishing to be sustained. The inexorable march of our society to have the public school system be the New World Order's parental unit is that function. The push to get hold of our children has followed a downward spiral. It began with first grade moving to kindergarten, to preschool and now the President's plan to get children as young as three into the system promises to ensure that constant supply. It, truly does take a village. Private schools and religious institutions simply cannot compete to counteract the assembly line that churns out an ever increasingly inferior product year after year after year.
As I wrote in a past blog, "The Pathology Of Power" I explored the use of SSRI drugs and the ramping up of our children being prescribed these psychotropics. This is just one mechanism employed as a means to that end. Administrators and teachers are the ones who decide which child is attention deficit, not your family doctor. The family doctor is defacto ordered to comply as well as the parents or serious repercussions from the State will result.
http://thelexingtongreen.blogspot.com/2012/08/the-pathology-of-power.html
The public school system is no longer the harbinger of molding our children into model citizens. Ensuring that children are given a firm foundation in basics as well as a grasp of civics has no role anymore. Multi-culturalism and a skewed revisionist history of America are stressed. Teaching to the test instead of teaching how to think are axioms of today. The public school system is a front. It is now the manufacturing plant of useful idiots and is designed to keep check on the parents, keep check on the 'problem children' and to return all that information as data for the State.
Countless families have stories of hellish experiences with their own districts. News stories are flooded with extreme examples of 'zero tolerance' policies that put five year old's in the cross hairs of government social workers simply for using a nail clipper or chewing a Pop Tart into the shape of a gun. A child was just recently arrested for bringing a 2" plastic GI Joe action figure gun into school.
What I will present here are my own experiences as my own children grew up. Many examples might seem unrelated and exceptions rather than norms. As my own worse critic I would agree to that premise. It is the recurrence of these exceptions that cannot be explained away. I will talk about Common Core and how schools are now gathering information on students and families. I will also give examples of how the power and reach of your local school goes beyond the playground and into your private affairs. As with many of my posts here on The Lexington Green I have worked over a month on this, gathering information that spans years and resources.
My first experience was in 2000 when my son was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. He was seven years old. Despite the fact that over the previous two decades there had been a sharp rise of diabetes in our society due to our sedentary lifestyle and our penchant for fast food I discovered that the public school system was woefully inadequate at handling children with this disease. The school was more than well equipped to handle ADHD children, autism, special needs and even peanut allergies but had no clue how to handle diabetes. Not being able to handle this was not the problem for me. How they handled it was the problem.
Any parent who has a child with this disease knows it is a roller coaster ride. Some days the blood sugar is in check, some days it is tough to put a leash around it and other days the levels are low and your kid is close to passing out. These numbers change at a moment's notice in a growing and ever changing child's body. Especially if your child is active and playful as mine was... A normal boy.
I had to get special permission from our doctor that authorized the school nurse to 'maintain' my son's regiment. The parameters were very specific and stressed only a maintenance of his blood sugar levels. I supplied the school with extra snacks for those days he felt groggy. I also kept the school supplied in needles and insulin.
What I was not aware of was that each time my son had an 'incident' where his sugar spiked or dropped the information was being logged. Since the school nurse was only authorized to maintain his levels any drop or spike outside those parameters required I had to leave work and administer the medication or be ready with an Epi-pen should he 'bottom out' as the catch phrase goes. All of these events were being logged and, un be known to me, that information was being sent to the Department of Social Services.
During this time I had transferred my son's primary care from U-Mass in Shrewsbury to Boston Children's Hospital. His first appointment was three weeks away which worked perfectly for me because my son had just completed his monthly check up a few days before I made the transfer.
It didn't work so perfectly for the school.
This caused an immediate problem. Partly it was my fault because I had informed the nurse of this transfer. So much for being honest and keeping the dialogue open.
Heads up to parents.. Keep your mouth shut sometimes..
You see, technically (according to the school) my son was no longer under a doctor's care. Technically they were correct. This sent up immediate red flags. Suddenly the nurse was no longer authorized to maintain his regiment until she received a new order from the new doctor. Despite a phone call from his prospective new doctor to the school the Principal at the Marion E. Zeh School in Northborough felt it her duty to inform the Department of Social Services that my son was being neglected. I know this because they came to visit me one afternoon at my home.
At the time I was too naive to understand what had happened yet I was angry enough to wonder what business it was of the school what doctor, where, was caring for my son? It was my right as a parent to make this decision. That played no part in the line of questioning from the social worker. She was armed with the information that the school had culled over a years time and proceeded to paint a picture of patterned neglect. None of the realities surrounding the care of my son came into the conversation. The school had targeted my child as an 'at risk' child. They gathered information for the expressed use against me as a parent.
What was worse is they used it against me as a single, male parent. They, effectively, discriminated against me. How is that tolerant and diverse Liberal Society working for you now?
In 2007 my girlfriend at the time (now my wife) had enrolled her son into the Robert Melican Middle School in Northborough. I would laugh to myself every time I saw that name on the building. Bob Melican was my seventh grade algebra teacher. He told me I was failure, told my mother I was a failure and so the town made him Superintendent of schools and named a school after him. That was my first taste of Liberal politics. My mother told him to go fuck himself. That was my first taste of Liberty.
One day we got a call from the school to come down because her (my girlfriend's) son had violated the 'zero tolerance' policy adopted by all schools following the Columbine shooting. We were told he brought a deadly weapon to school. The weapon was a multi-tool. He was caught using the pliers while trying to repair the strap to his backpack which had come unbuckled. He was twelve.
Once I heard the story I laughed. The Principal didn't think this was a laughing matter. I had the multi-tool in my hand and told the woman it belonged to me and proceeded to put in into my pocket. She informed me that it was evidence and I could not have it back. I looked around the office and asked if the police were going to claim it and follow the chain of custody as warranted in gathering evidence of a crime (I hate being so intelligent). She said that they did not call the police and they would hold onto the item.... Mmmmm. Really? This was a thirty dollar item!
I tried to explain that it was private property and if the police wanted it they should follow procedure.
That made no difference to her.
My girlfriend intervened and told me to just hand it over. She was right. I was dealing with fools here and it wasn't worth the effort. Before leaving I reiterated that what the Principal had done was commit theft of private property. I did inform the police but they never followed up on the complaint. Nor, were any criminal charges levied against my step son. He was suspended for three days and the matter was dropped.
Zeros. This is what we deal with. The true zero tolerance policy. We must learn to deal with zeros.
This caused me to start researching just what the zero tolerance policy entails. Quite simply any school can claim any item as a deadly weapon and confiscate it at will.
This must be a gold mine bonanza at the lost and found box!
It can also deem any behavior as dangerous to restrain, lock into a room any child for any reason. Confiscated property without due process or recompense to the owner is theft. It leads me to ask, what else can the school confiscate and never return?
Fast forward to the 2012-13 school year. My 13 year old daughter attends Worcester East Middle School. She was caught in the halls using her cell phone and the Asst. Principal confiscated it.. Again, I have no problem with the policy. Cell Phone use in the school is a distraction and I concur.. It is how it was handled that gave me the problem.
This happened twice.
The first time , my daughter came home to me and told me her phone was at the office and I had to go to the school and retrieve it.. Odd..
I went to the school and asked for the phone back. I knew immediately I could be re-visiting the 'multi-tool' incident.
Upon arriving at the school I was informed by the Asst, Principal that the phone was in her handbag.
Why?
"Why is MY phone in YOUR handbag?" I asked.... No answer.
It gets better...
As she rummaged through her bag she discovered it was not there.
"It must be in the Conference room" She said.
Why? Why was my daughter's phone left un-attended? Who had access to this? Some one could have stolen it!
After several minutes she returned with the phone. I asked her why was MY phone left un-attended after it was confiscated? It was my phone since I pay the bill and had bought it in the first place. This was confiscation of property without due process!
She never replied to me except saying that I could take up the issue with the school Principal......
Oh, wait till we get to him.
"You realize this is theft?" I said to her.... Blank stares from staff and her. Like deer in the headlights. The Union response of the school policy was all I received....
Dealing with fools. Zero Tolerance.
This same event happened again in the early spring of 2013.
Again, I have no problem with the policy.
However, property must be returned to the owner at the close of business day. Especially an expensive cell phone!
I went back to the school and confronted Principal Mr. Wells who had the phone in his pocket. He told me he was ready to leave for the day..
Why?.. Why was the phone in his pocket? Why was this phone not locked up in some secure area to be returned to the student at the close of business day? It is private property! Had I been a minute later he would have left with that phone in his pocket for.....?
Then I knew why.
Upon returning the phone to my daughter she tried to unlock it.
She could not.
Turns out that the phone has a "lock down".
If some one tries to access the code three times in-correctly it simply goes into sleep mode for 24 hours until the user enters in the correct code.
Some one tried to access her phone.
This is Theft. This is also a violation of Article 4 of the United States Constitution.
Who are these people? What gives them this authority? Why would anyone attempt to access a 13 year old girl's cell phone?
In the spring of 2013 my daughter was suspended from school for being involved in an altercation.
She was in a fight. She was suspended from school.
What I wanted to know is why the school was involved with a private matter that occurred outside of school, outside the school zone (over a half mile away) and well over an hour after school was let out and what business was it of theirs since myself and the other parent of the other child involved were dealing with it?.. Privately!
"We are responsible for the children coming and going from school." Said Principal Wells. This guy is a complete moron.
Let us explore this rationale.
If that is true, then where were the school authorities when this fight broke out? Why weren't the police called if said school is "responsible"? And given that premise; is the school now liable for not upholding that responsibility which resulted in the fight not being stopped? Is the school liable for failing in it's responsibility if a child (say) is abducted on his/her way to/from school? Gets hit by a car? Mugged? According to the logic of Principal Wells this would all fall under that umbrella.
But we are dealing with Liberals here so they get to pick, choose and change the rules at a moment's notice.
So I penned a letter to the Superintendent of Worcester schools asking him/ her to please give me the actual documentation and or Mass General Law allowing the school to suspend children for private matters outside and beyond school business. I hand delivered the letter to the office at 20 Irving St. Worcester. This was the second week of May. As of this publishing I have yet to hear from that office.
This wasn't my first rodeo with Ole' Principal Wells.
Some one was bullying my daughter at the start of the year. I was under the impression it happened in school so (naturally) I took it up with him. Once we both got to the particulars of the problem we realized that it had nothing to do with school. I apologized for taking up his time and said I would deal with it. Turns out my daughter and the other girl worked it out anyways and became friends again. Kids have a way of working out their own problems if you just leave them alone sometimes.
Not according to Kaiser Wells. He called the cops and both my daughter and the other child (from another school district) were suspended.
The American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Psychological Association have found that suspensions are "not educationally sound or developmentally appropriate." Research from the UCLA Civil Rights Project have concluded that there is " no evidence that suspensions make a school safer, help the student behave better and are seriously detrimental to student achievement. Children who are suspended in the primary schools are left with gaps in basic fundamentals of learning."
In an article published on 5/23/13 in the Worcester Telegram and Gazette; Jennifer Cary Davis and Mary Jo Marlon Farrell directors of the Worcester Educational Collaborative and Latino Education Institute of Worcester said this:
" While we do not take issue with the use of suspension for the most serious offenses, we are troubled by the number of children suspended for other reasons and are therefore not in school and not learning-- such as cell phone use (mmm, interesting), missing homework, tardiness, cutting class, absenteeism and failure to follow directions..."
Wait a second... "..failure to follow directions.."? So, if your kid doesn't 'get it', or makes a mistake, he/ she gets suspended?
Please, ladies, continue.
" It is especially troubling to see the number of suspensions in the early grades, a time when children are not only acquiring academic fundamentals but developing attitudes toward school and learning."
Remember Bob Melican? I hated school from that day forward. In fact, my own daughter is now openly depressed every day she goes to school.
" Equally distressing is the significantly higher rate of exclusionary discipline for particular groups of children.."...... So, the schools ARE targeting your children! And who are these 'groups' ? They are what I said before; 'at risk' children. The definition is whatever the school wants to invent at any time.
Now we have Common Core coming at us full tilt. Too late to stop it now. Only five states in the Union have voted against implementing it. Michigan refuses to fund it. It was hidden in the Stiff-You-And-Us Bill in 2009. Essentially it is a one size fits all Federal top to bottom approach to standardize school testing and the curriculum in general. The Obama Administration chucked out the restrictive rulings set up in 1970, 1979 and 1992 that forbids the Federal Government from dictating what the curriculum will be. It was that pesky 10th Amendment that they had to get around. So Congress did what they always do. They trampled on the Constitution and went after the money. This reminds me of the "55 mph" bill that got rammed at us in the 70's. Either obey the law or lose the funding.
This from the Pioneer Institute in a paper written by Bob Eitel and Kent Talbert:
" Despite three federal laws that prohibit the federal government from directing, supervising or controlling elementary and secondary school curricula, programs of instruction and instructional materials, the USDOE has placed the nation on the road to a national curriculum.."
I attended the May 28th meeting at the Worcester Public Library where ELA Curriculum Author Sandra Stotsky, Cost And Accountability Expert Ted Rebarber and Worc, School Committee Chair Donna Colorio held a packed room forum on the horrors of Common Core.
Sandra Stotsky was one of five members at an earlier conference on CC who refused to sign off on the standards set up by the Common Core State Standards Initiative because... They didn't exist. Ted Rebarber spoke of the data that will be acquired by the state on you and your children. He himself wasn't even told where, why, what, how and who will get and use this 'data'.
Rahm Emmanuel was right. Never let a crisis go to waste. The Obama Administration inserted thug politics into a bill designed as a jobs bill to get America back to work. It worked brilliantly! We are now all forced to work very hard to produce the next generation of useful idiots of the New American Socialist Party.
In the 90's we all freaked out at plunging test scores in our children so in a letter penned by Marc Tucker of the National Center on Education and Economy to then First Lady Hillary Clinton he laid out a plan to, " remold the entire American system..... a system of labor market boards at the local, state and federal levels.." In addition, the FDA, Social Services, Teachers Unions and family advocates would all work together to standardize, categorize and ostracize families and children,
" where curriculum would be handled by government functionaries."
It really does take a village.
One of the primary supporters and the lead funding agent of CC is Bill Gates. In a speech to the National Governor's Association in 2011 Willard urged states to do away with the Liberal Arts programs in the public schools. Gone will be classic American novels and the critical teaching and thinking that goes with exposure to such literature. Common Core funding will put up an initial investment of over 6 billion dollars for new technology in our schools.
I will give you three guesses who will supply that 'new technology.
With inevitable new expenses comes inevitable new taxes. There are bound to be rural and other poor communities who cannot afford this new program. But, that is ok. Any future Administration can simply go before the nation and say, "we need to do more!". And the ever expanding scope of government will grow ever thus.
A mid-level estimate puts the start up of CC at 15.8 billion dollars with costs ever increasing by an average of 100 million per year across the board. Teachers will be re-educated, textbooks will be whitewashed with emphasis on diversity and multi-culturalism. Testing costs haven't even been figured out yet. None of the standards have been, what Sandra Stotsky calls "benchmarked". This is a comparison against other developed nations and how their scores are rated. We use that data to determine our levels. According to her the end result will be our children graduating with the equivalent of a 10th grade education with no emphasis on interpersonal skills, critical thinking, history and mathematics. The worst is the loss of literature and how it is divided between classics and informational. This is very important to young minds. It opens them up to ideas and questions... God forbid some one should have an idea or a question.. It will effectively shut out an overwhelming majority of children from higher education.
Joseph Califano from the Carter Administration has said that the control of the curriculum is " a form of national control of ideas."
When I was young there was the PTO. The Parent Teacher "Organization". But this would not do. How dare these lowly parents organize to tell us teachers and state agencies how best to educate their children. So they changed the name to the PTA. The Parent Teacher "Association".. It now has that happy, smiley face of fascism attached to it. Today parents are "partners" with school administrators and every one "works together" in implementing dictum's from our elected officials. It is quiet surrender and nothing more. Parents are now 'useful idiots' with a false sense of inclusion.
I know I wrote the first part of this article with a "oh, poor me" angle.
It was intentional.
The reader must be aware that there are thousands of parents with the same stories. The entire school system is a top heavy, heavy handed and completely autonomous organization that makes up its own rules. It purposefully identifies students for special considerations that are detrimental to their well being. All parental rights are given over to the system and the higher up you complain the less you are heard.
As more information is culled from the technology installed by Microsoft we can expect an uptick in ADHD diagnosis'. There is now a report circulating (that the geniuses in Washington cooked up) stating that over 20% of children are dyslexic. Hooray for more medication! As the standards are lowered it will be very easy for some official to claim your child is stupid and can't learn. Once your kid logs onto the CC website (thank you Willy G) to test he/she will be watched and all information will be collated.
No one from Worcester East Middle has made any attempt to contact me for re-medial education for my daughter. As with me in seventh grade; she has trouble with algebra. What information I was able to gather basically shuts out my daughter from receiving extra help until I consent to having her "tested". I refuse to comply with such an idea and demand the school system actually do its job as educators. I have sent letters to the school nurse informing her to exclude my daughter from any and all health and counseling screenings. It is no body's business but mine. I cannot get an answer from the Super's office and now my child simply hates going to school. Principal Wells has told my daughter point blank that we are 'bad parents'.
With less and less input (and power) from parents in our public schools we risk losing our children to the system.... Shit, we already have... It might even be, part of the plan. One of the main tenets of Socialism is to remove the importance and influence of the family unit.
Must be why Obama wants three year olds in early education. As he said, "..we need a civilian branch just as powerful as the military..."
....And That Is The Diatribe....
In order for a sustained political movement to exist and to endure it must be fed a constant supply of wide eyed as well as dull eyed followers trained from the cradle in the doctrinaire of that said political movement wishing to be sustained.

Symptoms Of An Illness Ignored- Hanging By A Shoestring
It is rather amusing to read the revelation that one of the Boston Marathon bombers received welfare and EBT benefits from the People's Republic of Massachusetts. Even more amusing is the fact that mommy dearest is a wanted criminal with a warrant out for her arrest in the October 2012 theft of over $1000 worth of dresses. As the posse closed in she high tailed it back to Kleptostan. I do not see her submitting to Sharia Law though. She still has her hands.
Even if she did return to face justice she would cry poverty and the taxpayers would foot the bill for a Jerk-a-Day lawyer who will continue the case until it is lost in the labyrinth of the criminal justice system. That is, unless Dr. Doolittle Deval Patrick decides to seal the case if he hasn't done so already. He is so protective of those less fortunate.
As one of BizarroWorld's chief architects he is mentally incapable of calling a spade a spade. It would not surprise me in the least if the dead terrorist was one of those 19,000 welfare recipients the state's DTA could not verify after Lizzy Hiawatha Warren's daughter illegally took public money to register welfare enrollies for mom. To this date none of that money has been returned to the treasury and no ethics probe has been initiated.
Isn't Massachusetts politics fun?
How the hell does that pressure cooking mook afford a six month hiatus to Chechnya on the public dole? I work for a living and can barely afford a day at the beach with the wife and kids. How does he attend a prestigious Massachusetts University on a twice monthly check and food stamps? Maybe thats why mommy was stealing dresses, who knows?
Ladies and gentlemen, the next starship to BizarroWorld is now boarding on launch pad six.
The Tea Party rally on Boston Common was a complete success. Members stormed the State House only to be tossed out by the all seeing, all taxing Eye of Mordor's security personnel. Hey, this isn't Madison Wisconsin guys! The ACLU and LSM only show up to defend the Constitutional rights of Union employees. Get your act together!
Speaker DeLeo made it clear to the press that the Legislature was no longer going to allow anyone to publicly view the debates on the floor, ethics meetings and committee meetings. No press, no public. Just the mobsters of Bacon Hill deciding what to pass and what not to pass. Dr. Doolittle refuses to enact the Secure Communities Act that would give police the same authority as the bill in Arizona does. That would have taken care of Auntie Zetuni and that drunk driving uncle of Prez. O. It would have prevented the death of a motorcyclist who was run over and dragged for a half mile by a repeat drunk driving offender who is an illegal alien.
If the FBI had done their job in the first place and followed up on the Russian intel about Thing One and Thing Two an eight year old boy would get to see next year's Boston Marathon.
The list of symptoms is endless. Here is a laundry list.
Hillary goes off the rails claiming "... what does it matter.." that diplomats and soldiers are dead in Benghazi. She ignored repeated demands for more security and a plea for help during the attack. It was a half baked video that caused the riot. Susan Rice shoves her foot into her maw on television and gets a cushy position at the UN. What will really frost this cake is that Hillary will run for President. Benghazi will be ignored and anyone who brings it up will be called anti-woman, hate monger, racist, xeno-phobic. She WILL win the nomination and I bet she wins the White House in 2016.
Obama's stand on Syrian use of chemical weapons will be "... a game changer..". Now that Syria has detonated a second WMD the President has back peddled and wants more information. Iran and North Korea are taking notes.
The New York Times just published a piece on how the CIA is dropping off suitcases full of money at the feet of Hamid Karsai once a month. Boy, that's working real well considering that the Afghan troops we are training are shooting our own people in the back. Where the hell does this bread get baked when we haven't enough dough to pay for air traffic controllers?
And that is another bubbling crock of shit. The sequester cut 2% of the budget across the board. Every one knows the Federal Budget goes only one way every year. Up. So where did the 2% go? It cut tours to the White House (which is owned by the American people) yet the great and powerful Oz can host an all star gala rock concert in the State Room. Hey, a girl just wants to have fun. Right?
Since 2009 every insurance CEO, every Conservative Economist, the GAO and every one I interviewed on my radio show all agreed that Obamacare was a lark, would drive up costs, add to the deficit, cause the loss of millions of jobs and businesses and do nothing to insure the uninsured. Well, lo and behold, it is 2013 insurance costs are rising, the deficit is about to burst, jobs are draining away, states and companies are scrambling for waivers to defray the costs and we still have over 46 million uninsured and rising. Meanwhile criminals like Baucus and Kerry have quietly cashed in on stocks they purchased in companies that would benefit from the new law.
The President signs Un Constitutional Executive Orders faster than the Fed prints money. Keystone XL is like the never to be built Cape Wind project here in Mass. Both of these grand designs are always one environmental regulation away from...... The next environmental regulation.

Lessons Learned
Alright class! Everyone take your seats, settle down and lets open up our notebooks.
Who can tell me what lessons we have learned from the events of this past week?.. Yes, Johnny?
" We learned that by re branding the term 'War on Rerror' to 'Man Caused Disasters' makes no difference to terrorists."
Very good Johnny.. Suzy? How about you?
"That the full force and might of the military and law enforcement will move Heaven and Earth to find who ever is responsible."
Nice answer Suzy.. Anybody else?.. How about you Ben?
"Maybe we should be tracking students who are here on visas and who also travel outside the country to jihadist controlled areas and why."
Interesting. We may be skirting a gray area there but, it is worth exploring. Tell you what. Why don't you develop a plan and we can discuss it on Monday.
You know what I learned? I learned how immense the fire power that was brought to bear in Watertown. I could have sworn that the President said that military style weapons have no place on American streets but he is a retard anyway and cannot be taken seriously. I watched three national news channels, two local channels as well as Youtube. I was fascinated with the array of weaponry, vehicles, combat gear and tactics employed to find these two murderers.
Despite what pundits may say a lot of what 'cracks' a case is sometimes pure, dumb luck. A seemingly unrelated gas station robbery leads to a car chase that involves the suspects. It is how you follow up on that luck that usually determines the outcome. What transpired was an all out, overwhelming military style response to the situation at hand.
It was also a revelation. For it was revealed just how the tactical rsponse would be orchestrated. If I was watching it and thinking about it I wonder who else was watching it and thinking about it. It also gave the American citizen a glimpse into what we may face when the government comes to take our guns and our liberties. I loathe to ponder in such dire terms but it begs the question. The only things missing were Apache gunships and M-1A-1 tanks.
Equally compelling was in how easy it was to conduct the house to house searches and how easily the home owners turned over their homes to unwarranted searches on such a massive scale. I understand this was a particularly unusual circumstance but I was surprised no one gave any of the authorities any crap. Can you imagine if that happened? Does that warrant an obstruction of justice charge? How can it when you are completely un-involved with the crime in question?
But I knew that would never happen. You see, this is Massachusetts. Eastern, Metro-Boston Massachusetts. The launching pad to BizarroWorld is located here. This is the hive of Uber-Liberalism. This is the area that elected Barney Frank 19 times, Ted Kennedy every time and Lizzy Hiawatha Warren. This state is so blue it is actually Indigo. Here, there are only two political ideologies; Liberal and Moonbat. No one owns a gun in their homes as far as I know for the government is all knowing, all seeing and all well intentioned. It isn't just a way of thinking, it is ingrained in the DNA of the children born there. Ultra Sounds have confirmed it.
I can only speak for myself. I know that I would be out in my yard walking point with a load of buckshot. Knowing that law enforcement wanted the suspect alive I would delight in blowing his knee caps off.. No more pressure cooking for you there buddy boy! That one was for the eight year old you killed, the other one was for his mother you A-hole!
Payback is a bitch. On the slimmest, snowball's chance in hell terrorists ever defeat our military and cripples the United States with a WMD. Even if our nuclear deterrent fails our enemies still have one more, wholly insurmountable obstacle to overcome. The American people armed to the teeth.
So, to all enemies foreign and domestic be forewarned. We may fear terrorism but we are fearless in our resolve to defeat it. We may fear tyranny but are fearless in our resolve to defend our liberties. May God have mercy on the souls of anyone who dares an attempt to usurp us. This nation was born by the barrel of a rifle and will be protected by the barrel of a rifle. The sword of Damocles is nothing compared to the wrath of Liberty threatened. It was the fortitude of American citizens who have suffered twelve years of war after 9/11 and it will be the fortitude of Americans to pursue to the ends of the Earth, until time itself ends all who conspire to deprive us of what God has ordained here.
Here in ends the lesson.. Class dismissed..

The Left's Ideological Village Idiot
He just cannot stop blaming Bush. No, I am not talking about Obama. The March 18th Ope-Ed in the NYT from writer and Liberal torch bearer Paul Krugman reminds me of a badly written song skipping over and over on a broken record. In the Op-Ed he equates the invasion of Iraq to our current fiscal demise. I couldn't resist. I cut out the article (stole it) stuffed it into my pocket and here I am. I could think of only one person up to the task.
".. It was obvious... the Bush Administration misled the nation into war.." Simply amazing, this guy never stops does he? He is adroit at the paradigm; keep repeating the same lie and it becomes truth. This isn't the first rodeo for old Paul either. A few months back I watched him on Bill Moyers talk about why the Obama economic plan wasn't going as swimmingly as it should. After he performed his dog and pony show of blaming Bush and Republicans his summation amounted to the fact that Obama hadn't spent enough money and more was needed (insert definition of insanity here). His master full misrepresentation of Ari Fliesher's comment following the firing of Bill Mayer at ABC, "..be careful what you say." was completely taken out of context and became another banner of the leftist anti-war movement.. It was nothing short of where the line between journalistic integrity ends and pure pandering begins.
How? Some one help me here, please. How did President Bush purposely orchestrate a lie that led us into war in Iraq? Intelligence agencies here and around the world were all convinced of the evidence.
From FOX News' John Gibson's book How The Left Swiftboated America:
" Saddam Hussein had convinced every one. even his own generals, that he had WMD. His actions toward the UN weapons inspectors strongly suggested he was hiding something.... his capabilities of restarting a bio-weapons program... had not been diminished."
Then there was the Senate Select Committe on Intelligence report:
" Regarding the Iraq/Al-Qaeda relationship reporting from sources... points to a number of contacts, incidents of training and discussions of Iraqi safe haven for UBL... dating from the early 1990's.."
Foreign nations told us they sold him equipment for weaponizing chemical and biological agents. The use of chemical weapons during the Iran/Iraq war is well documented. There was also the mass murder of over 5000 Kurds with WMD. Try telling a surviving Kurdish family member that there were no WMD and he will punch you in the face.
Krugman continues: " ... during the run up to the war, was the illusion of consensus."
That's not how I remember it. The left was constantly reminding us that there was no consensus at all either from Congress or the UN. However, as the debates moved along and a coalition began to form the Left turned the argument around and denigrated those nations who came on board. They tagged it, "the coalition of the willing".
It was Krugman and another journalist with a thimble full of integrity, Frank Rich who beat the drum of defeat in Iraq despite the surge, despite the elections that ushered in the Maliki government. As far as I know, Iraq still has a democratically elected government and has no tolerance for Al-Qaeda.
Krugman further explains how this "consensus" and "the argument (for it) was circular". Circular? Again, some one help me here. If there is a "consensus" to go to war (which the left kept telling us there wasn't) after seventeen UN resolutions, the on again off again inspections and it is an "illusion": Isn't that drawing together of international partners something the Left would be pleased with?
Yes, as long as it falls inside the narrow purview of Leftist political theory. In other words the "consensus" to go to war was the wrong "consensus". They should have consented not to go to war. That would have been the right "consensus". Well, I am sure glad we have Krugman to decide that for us.
Here is where Krugman takes this nutty idea all the way to Crazytown.
He is convinced that the correct "consensus" over our economic problems are "... closely associated with the taking of sides... exaggerated and inappropriate."
Inappropriate? Having a different opinion is inappropriate?
Yes, because it falls outside the narrow purview of Leftist political theory.
I guess all the GAO reports, hundreds of economists, think tanks, business leaders, even history itself are totally wrong.
".... now, as then we have the illusion of consensus, an illusion based on a process in which anyone questioning the preferred narrative is immediately marginalized".
That is simply not true. And what is this "preferred narrative" anyways? That the current economic policy is the correct "consensus"? Does the collapse of the Euro, high unemployment, constant fiscal cliffs, our own entitlement mess and the reckless policies of the Fed mean nothing? Does that mean we are to be marginalized because we are of the wrong "consensus"?
I guess that all depends on what side of "consensus" you consent to "consensus" upon.
" Bad economic policy isn't the moral equivalent of a war fought on false pretenses."
Yes it is Mr. Krugman! It is exactly the moral equivalent. You speak of a "consensus" based on a false premise only because you disagreed with it. Does not mean you are correct in your assertions. Then, you use the same argument to justify a policy that is bankrupting this country. You cannot have your cake and eat it too Mr. Krugman. Maybe that works in Liberal BizarroWorld but not in the real one and I see your ruse. You do not get to pick and choose "moral equivalents" to supprt your idea. What is right is right and what is wrong is wrong and you, Sir, are wrong.
For the past decade all we have heard from the Left is how the Iraq war and the War on Terror has exploded the national debt and made the country less safe yet miraculously when we debate our debt vis-a-vis bad economic policy; the argument no longer applies? The moral equivalent is exactly the same!
Like war, bad economic policy adversely affects people. Like war, bad economic policy gets people killed. Innocent people. Like war, bad economic policy threatens our national security, destroys the fabric of society, infrastructure, separates families and diminishes the educational and health of children. Like war, Mr. Krugman, bad economic policy tends to displace millions of people as is evident from all the foreclosed homes and people out of work. They become economic refugees.
Don't you dare denigrate the good name of all those who served from all over the world to free a nation from a dictator then hide behind your lofty ideals and a President who is hell bent on destroying The United States of America through a fucking "consensus" of like minded Socialists!
" What we should have learned from the Iraq debacle was.... you should never rely on supposed authority..."
Really, Mr. Krugman? Well thank you very much for your "circular argument" You have just come completely 360 degrees to utterly defeat your own thesis. Does that "supposed authority" include you and the NYT just because you are all in "consensus"?
Yes, it does!
And if that is so, then it is the "consensus" of this writer that you Mr. Paul Krugman are the Left's ideological village idiot..

Lonesome Joe And His Uncle Huey
What the hell is Joe Kennedy going to do now? Well, no need to fret Joe the world is full of plenty of third world despots just lining up with their zippers down. Time to break out the knee pads again.
Joe Kennedy touted Fat-Ass as a "soldier of the little man" (really, he supported dwarfs?) all the while declaring himself President for life. Joe and his wife both raked in over one million dollars a year giving away Uncle Huey's free oil to old ladies and welfare moms. Happy, smiley faced Fascism.
Before the make up was even dry at the funeral home Amherst and The People's Republic of Cambridge lowered their flags to half staff. This was, initially problematic for the Communist enclave of Amherst. They voted a few years ago not to fly American flags anywhere within city limits so some one had to drive to a Wal-mart to purchase a Chinese made one. You see, this was a special occasion.
In Caracas a business was closed for the day in solidarity of all the thousands more that were shut down by Uncle Huey's Socialism. The NY Times wrote: ".. Mr. Chavez, 58, changed Venezuela in fundamental ways (sounds familiar), empowering and energizing millions of poor people." There was no mention of jobs or Liberty.
His VP immediately convened his Cabinet into "crisis" mode because he didn't want it to go to waste. So, they expelled two American diplomats who were accused of recruiting Venezuelan military in "destabilizing projects." VP Maduro even tossed out the idea that it was the US of A that may have caused Uncle Huey's cancer.
... I love the smell of a black bag operation in the morning. It smells like... Victory.
Venezuela's superior Socialized Healthcare system apparently wasn't superior enough so the Presidente Por Vida Todamente was flown to another Socialist country, whose equally superior Socialized Healthcare system gave him VIP treatment while the pleebs were kept outside waiting for basic checkups.
Professor Javier Corrales of Amherst College (all the important opinions) lent this tid-bit of political expertise: " In regimes that are so person based, the moment the person on which everything hangs is removed, the entire foundation becomes very weak because there was nothing else supporting this other than this figure." Really?
After I recovered from laughter and changed my pants I wanted to write something but I do not need the Secret Service up my ass. Suffice to say: Insert Barack Hussein Obama.
Doctor of Psychiatry Edmundo Chiranas who (according to the NYT) "got to know" Chavez as a patient (yep, he had a shrink) said this in a 2001 New Yorker article: ".... a hyper kinetic and imprudent man, unpunctual,.... overreacts to criticism, harbors grudges, is politically astute and manipulative.."
Insert Barack Hussein Obama.
His democratic election (wink-wink) in 1998 was cast as a "patriotic uprising" while his political opposition (cause this is a freedom loving country) who tried to overthrow him in 2002 were (his words); "golpistas" and "putschists". I guess it all depends on what side of fascism you lean towards.
His brand of Socialism was a model for the despotic world to envy. Every single one of Uncle Huey's goals were met. Thousands of investors, scientists, doctors and teachers fled the country in a mass exodus only to be replaced with Iranians, Chinese, Lebanese and North Koreans. The homicide rate soared after he took away every one's guns.
Liberal scientists are still trying to figure that one out.
Simply transferring a title to property became a Olympian odyssey as officials grew wealthy from bribes. His manipulation of the media and the bully pulpit became the playbook of the DNC. His Airbus-319 was opulent. Sean Penn spent many hours aboard. Knee pads were supplied courtesy of the proletariat.
But Chavez worked hard at expanding his diplomatic relations around the world. He and Achmed-Wacka-Job had a travelling show that made a few appearances here at the UN from time to time. He was bosom buddies with Qadaffi and called his murder an "outrage" (overused Lib terminology). He had nothing but good things to say about the technological and humanitarian advancements in Cuba and North Korea. He trully loved his country. He and his mistress, Herma Marksman, would drive around the country with the top down for hours together.
Man!.. Third world despots always score the babes! Can you imagine the satellite shots from above with her head in his lap?
What is Joe Kennedy thinking? If JFK was still alive he would bitch slap Joe and tell him to smarten up and Bobby would be holding him down in the process. The usual LSM covered his death all across their front pages.
But I was not worried.
Hugo Chavez joins a long list of despots relegated to the dustbin of history and he will be forgotten. At most he will be a T-shirt much like his hero.. Che.

The Communist Circus Comes To Town
I had arrived late to the meeting. The Banx Room at the Worcester Public Library held roughly two dozen twenty-something "comrades" (their words). They were all starry eyed and hopped up on talk of revolution. The topic was about victims of Capitalism. I always find the 'victim' moniker very misleading. I know we live in the age of victimization and the broadcasting to the world there-of but I have never felt victimized by my employer. I always negotiated good pay, was able to dictate my own schedule, invested in my benefactors and thoroughly enjoyed my vacation pay. The only time I ever felt victimized is when I was laid off due to the shitty economy that seems to be the norm in 21'st century America. And that had nothing to do with the company. It was always due to government dictated economic policy, er..Socialism.
Evil capitalist Dunkin Donuts was being served. A twenty something sipped merrily, hanging on every word from the speaker as she text-ed on her I-phone. Sorry, her evil capitalist I-phone.
The organization is called Socialist Alternative to Worcester. Here is the link:
http://www.socialistalternative.org/
It is important to know that these guys are affiliated with the Committee for a Workers International... Yeah, these guys are pure Communists. Supposedly the CWI operates in several countries that are models of human endeavor.... I refilled my coffee. This was going to be interesting.
They weren't a bad bunch of kids, actually. All of them were totally unshaven yet very polite. They truly believed in what they were lied to about. They reminded me of a deer caught in the headlights of a Ford Truck somewhere in Maine..We all know how that ends. Much like how Socialism ends.
The conversation with one of it's Commandants was very amicable. However I was soon surrounded as my questions reeled off. It wasn't until I was finished and left that I realized I had my Worcester Tea Party button firmly affixed to my backpack.. And they noticed!
It seems that this "new" Socialist Movement rejects the the failed policies of 1917 Bolshevism. I was relieved cause I had a bus to catch and God forbid it was late, the driver may have been executed. There was one "comrade" who spent time on the 38th Parallel in the US Army and he claimed to know and see the failures of the past..Phew!!..Dodged a bullet there. Just not quite not sure from whom.
Their consensus is squarely fixed on Unions, Feminism, Immigration, Environment, Rights,... ahhh, pensions (wait, let me check my notes..).. Republicans, Global Warming. ...You get my drift.
This had me confused for a moment. I have been doing this whole Meat And Potatoes thing for the past five years and I have yet to find any evidence of how women, blacks and immigrants are some how discriminated against in the workplace. I could have sworn we solved all this shit back in the 60's and 70's.. Was that not the job of the "Counter Culture" (ie Socialists)..??
Soooo...Why is this still a problem?... Ooooh... cause it was a failure? ON THEIR PART?
And what the hell is so wrong with a Constitutional Republic? Seems it allows the Socailists to gather and debate.. As is evident from where I was last Saturday.
It was solved not only (despite of) Government regulation....It just, plain and simply happened.
Quick question!.. Any one reading this (black, female, gay, alien from another planet).. Are you discriminated against?.. I thought so... And so didn't you! NO ONE CARES ANYMORE!!! Equality is here. Just look around at your work place tomorrow. If you have one (thanks Socialism).
We have reached parity. So why the Socialist Movement? Well, if you still have an axe to grind, these guys are your new BFF. Cause it is all about you.. Well, not really 'you', rather, "the collective".
One of the first tenets of social and political change is to create a crisis. Hitler burned down the Chancellery ( blamed on Communist). Mussolini blamed it on the former government and rampant unemployment (take note America). Castro had an American imposed Fiat, then Bay of Pigs. Che was just a crazy motherfucker. Today we have massive unemployment and orbital deficits (all manufactured) and a soap opera of Congressional/ Administration arguments over crisis after crisis. And NO I am not entertaining the whole 9/11 conspiracy thing.. Smoke another one on me.
Allow me to shed some light on this Phenom...
From Prf. John Feeny, "Congress Shall Make No Law Abridging Freedom Of Speech" 2009.
"Cloward /Piven Crisis Strategy-- Strategy for forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. First proposed in 1966 and named after Columbia University sociologist Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven.. (Obama went to this school and studied this political idea). "... seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.."
Well...Isn't that special? Is it any wonder we have crisis after crisis after crisis? Thus we usher in... Socialism. I wrote in an earlier blog what Cong. Ron Paul said about how government creates the crisis then delites in how they solve it.
Is it any wonder (also) why Dr. Carson, who gave the impromptu speech at the broadcast with the Anointed One held captive (you could see him squirming) said what he said to put a drop of sanity into a political regime that knows only insanity?
Socialism demands more from the government. Unfortunately Margarette Thacher was correct in her statement, "..eventually you run out of other people's money". I asked this question to the Socialists I met with. It turned into a litany of how Bill Gates did not create something but rather it was his workers who created the wealth of Bill Gates..Yeah, it went no where.. Bill Gates did create something and he allowed his hired help to expand and he let loose the innovation of American ingenuity to expand upon his idea.
Hell, I created an idea, but I would be nothing without the help of all who have assisted me. Does not mean I did not create The Meat And Potatoes Show. I was just intelligent enough to allow others who could help me expand upon my idea... It is called Business, It is called ideas and the ability to let those ideas grow and create an industry. Does that mean I am a cruel Capitalist?
The conversation at the meeting steered towards statistics of peole who have been left behind due to the lack of National Healthcare. This was a bald faced lie. There are dozens of State and Federal programs that could help the most indigent of Americans. All they have to do is sign up. These programs exist at churches, advocacy groups (Obama's favorite) and social services offices. All of these are Socialist programs. I wonder if their chief complaint is that: the very programs they profess fall short of the expectations of the core belief's these Socialist groups aspire to.
Well, even the Soviet Union had death panels. Look how well that system worked out. In fact, how's that "hope and change you can believe in" working out for you?
