Hostage Nation

Ever since I was a child this nation has had no discernable Energy Policy. There was once the belief that one day we would run out of crude and that economic disaster and global upheaval would ensue. Science and technology has disproven that once golden mantle of the 60's generation. However, the political ramifications of this hold out are with us today and have created a mentality within the Government that are evident in our distorted environmental policies.

In a recent Congressional Hearing Energy Sect. Steven Chu admitted that the current rise in gasoline prices is part of the President's plan to force Americans off of oil. His open admission to create a price level equal to Europe is evidence of the extreme Leftist position that this Administration shows no sign of vacating. That, they are beholding to the Environmental Lobbyists can be tantamount to holding a nation hostage and should be considered criminal. It hits the poor the most, the working poor second, the Middle class third and business overall. Reaganonics in reverse: Bad policy makes for a bad economy.

The arguments are always the same. We cannot drill our way out (yes we can). The environment will suffer (no, it won't). It will take years to see the results (well, if we started years ago, we would have the results today). Finally, that America only has 2% of the world's reserves.
Lets take that last bit into context:

2% of the "world's reserves": What does that mean exactly? We only have 2% and that we do not have enough to supply ourselves, or, is that number 2% of the total world output thus far? If the total world output is in the hundreds of billions of barrels a year and we have 2% of that in production now, that still puts us well in supply for at least a generation. Given the current trend towards conservation, mandated mileage for cars, nuclear, gas and other sources. America has all it needs.
Currently the output from the North Slope goes to Japan and the leases held in the Gulf of Mexico are held primarily by foreign entities. We cannot drill because the environmentalists say it is dangerous, but China and BP is more than welcome.
This is insanity. Between Canada, The Gulf, Alaska, and Mexico itself, there is plenty to go around for a long time to come. Literally, if we enclose the total North American production for North American consumption alone we solve the problem of Middle East entanglements and sticker shock all in one fell swoop. To hell with the environmentalists.

The environmentalists are holding up all sorts of energy production in America, never mind oil. There is a joke here in Massachusetts about Cape Wind. That they are always one more environmental law suit away from...the next environmental lawsuit. Nevada has huge solar farms ready to produce and lay idle because of environmental lawsuits over the placement of the transmission lines. The first nuclear power plant in over thirty years has been given the green light by the Obama Administration only to be hit with a court order to stop pending (thats right) lawsuits over spent fuel disposal.

Note: The nation's disposal site in Yucca Mt. has been shut down by Obama, so there ya' go folks!

The insanity will never stop with these people. Leadership is only a word now and has nothing to do with reality and/or human expansion of thought, industry and the future. Based solely on rigged science over Global Warming our nation is held hostage at the pump. Laws over internet, freedom of speech and the public's right to bear arms ensure no reprisal from the masses. With no ability for relief at the pump families, businesses and any one who drives will stop. Perhaps this is part of the plan of a Socialist ideology. Keep the masses at home, just drive to work, keep tabs on everyone's activities, be sure to tell on some one if you see something.

Now that they control us at the gas tank, the next move is to control us at the grocery store..

The Monsters Under the Bed

I am not an Apocalypse kind of guy. I do not follow the Mayans and that whole Dec. 21st thing. I simply think they ran out of room on that stone and figured five thousand years was enough to put into a calendar. I do, however, know full well we are in a shooting gallery out here on the rim of the galaxy and the Yellowstone Caldera is way, way overdue.

But there is little (if anything) any of us can do about that.

No, what scares me the most are the monsters.

Monsters come in all shapes, sizes, colors, races, genders, national origin and political dogma. Being a monster is a truly equal opportunity employer. It is difficult to spot them at first and some can be quite disarming and, by then it’s too late. Some monsters wear suits or uniforms and carry weapons. Some we elect, appoint, even install then, when we realize they are out of control we kick ourselves for doing so and have to eliminate the monsters we helped to raise.

By far though, the monsters that scare me the most are our enemies and the threats from the Middle Eastern monsters are at the top of my list. Hell, we cannot trust most of our so called ‘friends’, never mind our enemies. That is a danger that will be with us forever and ever.

No sooner were the tire tracks of the American pullout eroding in the desert winds of Iraq did violence erupt. This proposed negotiations with ‘moderate’ Taliban is a farce and will only buy them more time to re-arm and re-organize for the day that last NATO vehicle crosses over the Khyber Pass.

Ron Paul may be correct in his use of the term “blowback” True, many of our foreign policy mistakes have put us where we are today, but that is irrelevant. It is all in the past and we cannot change it. What is relevant is the monster we now have at the gate determined to kill us all. What is also relevant is that no amount of placating will sooth this savage beast. That move exposes our weak hand and that is when the monster bites down hard.

Why do we tell our children there is no such thing as monsters? What if we told them they are not under the bed but living among us? We could just continue to lie to them and say they live far, far, far away. We pick and choose the monsters we are willing to live with and those we should fear. I would prefer no monsters at all but this is totally irrational.

We must see the beast for what it is and we must reconcile with the beast within us at the same time. In order to defeat our enemies we must be as monstrous as they are. It is called winning a war. The negotiations will fail. The monster smells weakness and he is luring us into his cave with a friendly, extended hand.

When Perception Isn't Reality

Considering the amount of informational outlets (the perceived notion that this is the ‘age of information’) I am constantly amazed at the levels individuals will go to take an ounce of perception, place it on an ideological mantle and just run with it verbatim. Some talking head babbles the talking points and catch phrases and an entire political way of thinking evolves from it. You have to give the old ‘revolutionaries’ credit. At least they had to sit through hours of boring speeches and consecutive rallies in order to be brainwashed. Today, all it takes is a tweet from the DNC.

Last week during a protest rally in Worcester, concerning the NDAA, both Tea Party and Occupy came together to stand against a common idea. However, one Occupy protestor was quoted in the T+G about how the Tea Party may be made up of xenophobes and racists but that “they had some good ideas”.

Yes, it’s that old xenophobia and racism monster rearing its ugly head again. As a Tea Party member myself for the past three years I have yet to ferret out these infiltrators. Between the two black women, the Latinos, a gay man and one token European Jew in our Board I have yet to figure out who the racists are! Even the secret handshakes and black robed rituals have yielded no exposure of the criminal racist element.

Maybe it’s a cover? The diversity of members may be the ultimate in disguise. Like that scene in the Return to the Planet of the Apes where the humans rip off their faces to reveal their inner selves. The Tea Party members all stand around that “Don’t Tread on Me” flag, unveil their various ethnic and gender differences to expose a bunch of white male rednecks with shotguns..

Wait, excuse me, that was racist. No, making fun of white southern males is perfectly PC in this Post Obama America.

The examples are broadcasted by our elected and appointed officials all the time on the Lame Stream Media. Moran from Virginia took Lt. Col. Allen West’s words and labeled them intolerant. Rep. Clyburn twisted Newt Gingrich’s “teenage janitors” idea into racism and child labor abuses. I was a teenage janitor Rep. Clyburn. I made money as a teenage janitor. You Rep. Clyburn have done everything in your power to deny a chance for teenagers to work and make something of themselves by placing welfare above all else. Now that’s racist! My sons work after school and my 12 year old daughter baby-sits for her own money. Bring it on NLRB!!

The concept and perception is alive and well that Americans and America in general is a xenophobic and racist nation. I know my history and I am well aware of the Democrat initiated Jim Crow Laws and the Democrat sponsored KKK, Birmingham and Montgomery (all Democrat controlled at the time). What I cannot fathom is the desire to constantly relive this polarizing time, perpetuate the idea and constantly bring it up in almost every conversation and every media venue. Yes, Eric Holder, you are correct; we are investigating Fast and Furious purely because you and Obama are black..Damn, we almost got away with it..Shucks!

I would love to be a fly on the wall at that job interview where an HR manager actually tells some one they are not hired because they are black or female or gay. Where are these people I hear so much about! Do you know any? I never met any! Every job I have ever had was like a Campbells Soup of ethnic and gender diversity. I swear, one guy I worked with was a real life Extraterrestrial!

It is my belief that laws such as Affirmative Action are (in effect) racist. The idea is simple, you give some one a job BECAUSE they are black. Never mind their skills, experience and education, they get the position because of their skin color.

What is scary (and racist) is the current imposition of laws that deny Americans to speak out against Islamofascism and the adoption of Shariah Law into our Constitutional system. The Council on American/ Islamic Relations (CAIR) is nothing more than a theocratic public relations group whose soul purpose is to litigate any criticism of a form of religious Oligarchy that runs counter to the Constitution of The United States. Journalists, radio hosts, writers and leaders have all fallen prey to the long arm of CAIR. They are blacklisted, fired in an attempt to control the content of the discussion at hand. Political Correctness has turned inside on itself where it is no longer sufficient to be careful what you say, you can’t say anything at all.

Unless....

Unless the groups you are talking about are white, Republican, Christian, Tea Party or Conservatives in general. The vitriol is thick and runs knee deep in any conversation concerning The Right. The comments pour forth unabated with no checks or balances from the LSM. There is a systematic mud slinging campaign where the lowest common denominator always rises to the top and becomes truth. Anyone who professes to be a Conservative knows to remain silent in certain situations. Violence from the tolerant Liberal Left has erupted in dozens of Conservative speaking events. Some have been shut down completely due to mob unrest. My own radio show is constantly under fire from self proclaimed, open minded Liberals.

It is not xenophobia and racism that exists in this nation, but a very real prejudice towards Conservatives, The Constitution and American Exceptionalism. The Left will be quick to tell you they love America just as much as the next guy. However, they just want to make it a better nation, not what it is. They will define what America is in their own minds and remain blind to the very thing that negates the racism idea completely. It is the history of the diversity and the long struggle of individuals of all races to reach parity despite the efforts of Governmental good intentions. To claim some one is racist simply because they have a different idea or opinion is not only intolerant it is ignorant. It borders on the insane..

Niether Conservative, Nor Liberal; Rather, a Partisan'

Watching Romney and Perry go at it is like riding shotgun with a drunk driver. You bridle at every weave across the political center/double line and brace yourself for the near miss of a disastrous collision. The questions just continue to be juvenile: Purposely igniting fiery banter. There is no attempt to be serious in trying to find the one true leader in this Campbell's Soup of candidates. No Chicken and Stars here America, just boring Cream of Mushroom!

The rise and fall of poll numbers are nothing more than a tidal wave that ebbs and flows leaving the current "frontrunner' like a flopping fish on the sand trying to explain away his/ her latest gaffs. We need to toss out the baby with the bath water here folks and forget the push button issues. Start demanding that there be substance from Anderson Cooper's questions and some hairy big ones from these morons who claim they want the mantle. That goes for you too Michelle! I could care less about Herman Cain's stand on abortion (or, his non stand..whatever!). Could care less about Romney and his Masscare/Obamacare. Could care less about Perry and the death penalty or Ron Paul and his anti-Semitism. Just give me a leader who will speak to the issues at hand. I want a candidate who is going to bring America back to it's senses and get industry out of the dust pail. I want a candidate who will tell China to go F themselves and that we don't need their cheap shitty crap anymore!

This insistence upon defining how Conservative you are is anachronistic with such a diverse American population. The square peg will never fit into that round hole so stop the hammering! We must recognize that the simplicity of our American Constitutional foundation is the core of the apple of Liberty for all Americans. To create supposed tactics to define ones position tilts the political pendulum to an artificial political position and simply does not work anymore. The worn out arguments of pro-life/pro-choice are as old as Roe v Wade itself and I am getting too old and too tired to care anymore. I have heard this crap for years and years..Let it go already!!

The Liberals are just enjoying this football game. Every fumble is being recorded and (I, for one) cannot wait to see the adds this coming season. But the Libs too will trot out the standard dog and pony show of  the black vote, immigration, the women's vote, civil rights, blah, blah, blah, blah..Again, I getting too old and too tired of this crap. I have heard it for years and years..Let it go already!!
It gets us no where, has nothing to do with terrorism, nothing to do with the economy and nothing to do with ME!! Selfish? You bet ch-ya! All politics is local after all and nothing is more local than oneself and one's family.

Now, while some readers may decide at this point to proclaim Conservative or Liberal (though I doubt many Libs read my blog). Think about what that entails. We must ask ourselves how that stalwart position will limit us and our ability to compromise and think and accept and grow as a nation. As a race of beings. We must come to some sort of common solution to complex problems that benefit us all. The Tree of Liberty must be able to bend against a storm of absolutism.

It is absolutism that has lead this world through some of history's darkest times. This is what a Partisan' is. I use the asterisk at the end of the word to invoke the French pronunciation. It implies a form of absolutism to one belief system or another (not to negate the brave men and women who fought during WWII in France). This is the horrible affect of being raised Liberal then finding one's Conservative values later in life..Parents? Don't do this to your kids, please..

My problem is, is that I have the ability to see and think four dimensionally. Every time some idiot says something I have twenty reasons to question what they said and then forty more to destroy their position. We must be open to a wider and more open society while still holding firm to the foundation of that document that gave birth to this nation. It is all 'talking points" now..Who gives a shit??. I have heard it for years and I am growing too old and too tired... Let it go already!!

Let go of the partisanship, let go of the bi-partisanship and start speaking in terms on commonality and Union...

The Dark Horses of Political Campaigns

What seems abundantly clear in this next round of Presidential elections is the ability of the politicians and their media lackeys to create political issues that do not need to be political issue in the first place. President Obama's desire to be the next Harry Truman fighting a "do nothing Congress" may backfire upon him if he, in fact, regains the Presidency. Truman, after all, ended up with Korea, Obama may end up with Iran.

The Republican debates have been the worst television I have watched in decades. The caliber of questioning has been sub par and lends itself to the lowest common denominator of political supporters. As this nation continues its Great Depression Part II slide into economic coma the push button debate questions center around ridiculous concerns such as the HPV vaccination and gay marriage. The score board is lit up with the 'zings' Romney and Perry toss at each other but nothing of substance from either of them. Policy and politics becomes nothing more than theater. Senator Brown and his challenger have already fallen into the category of pornography.

The sad thing is, no one seems to care. The media is happily lapping up every tidbit they can crunch into a thirty second soundbite and designing more stupid questions to keep the carnival ride turning and polarize the candidates and the general public. Even the candidates just regurgitate the canned talking points handed to them. The candidates who are speaking their minds are being ignored by the media or ridiculed on Saturday Night Live and John Stewart. However they are also generating the slow rise in poll numbers while the front runners are engaged in a tussle. The petty back and forth between Romney and Perry alongside Huntsman's blank stare are enough fodder for the masses to delude themselves upon. This myopia enforces and solidifies the polarization of Left and Right.

The emerging dark horse in this race is Herman Cain. His numbers are creeping slowly upwards like a slow rising river. The front runners dance around each other while the tide rises against them in the back round. The voters too are transfixed at the bright shiny objects on the television while the whistle of the Cain-Train grows louder in the distance.. The Left is on top of their game though. They have already begun the denigration campaign against  a successful Conservative Black. Mr. Cain can now join the prestigious line that includes, Clarence Thomas, Condalezza Rice and Colin Powell. Between Socialist (and sometimes college professor) Cornel West and NPR's (theres a neutral media outlet  for-ya!) Tavis Smiley; the Left is already tainting the waters of informed debate. It is a planned tactic and one I would have been on board of during my hippy, salad days.

Another phenomenon is the desire of some of the candidates to move the Primary dates forward. I can remember when the race didn't really start hopping until March of the election year. Now we have straw polls and caucus' the preceding autumn. Hell Romney wanted the first primary in December. Don't go messing with my holiday shopping Mitt, I have enough on my plate those thirty one days!
Eventually we will just see all the Primaries contained in one national primary. This would be unfortunate because it will cheapen the race and remove the weeding out process we see now through a year long race. This may be a tedious and nauseating process but it is necessary for the Republic and the people to have an equal chance to hear all sides and for all the candidates to get a fair shot at that ultimate prize.

The character assassinations are standard faire' for any election season and 2012 will be no different. 2008 brought out some of the worst this nation has seen and most of it from the Obama Campaign while the media ignored the glaring realities that surrounded this unknown Senator from Chicago. The recent wave of rioting around the world over economic justice could be the wave that rides the Anointed One back into the Presidency. This potential victory could mirror the rise of Socialism that swept the first two decades of the 20th Century. The same factors are in play today; joblessness, and elite class that could care less and the rise of an enigmatic figure who captures our attention.
The same forms of character assassination, class warfare and media manipulation are also in play. We see the complete rejection of capitalism, the perception (some real, some just a photo-op) of the jack boot authority maintaining the status quo, the always present rage and resultant property damage. It will all come into focus and into the race as we narrow the field of candidates and we draw closer to November 2012.

What always remains uncertain is how these factors play out  and to what extent they will affect the outcome of the race.We cannot determine for sure what future will result from a Republican victory. We can, however, predict with great accuracy (if history, and the last three years are any indicator) what future will result from a Democratic victory.

Could Two Icons of the 21st Century Be Correct?

The President that was hated by the Left and was dismissed by the right, the arch enemy who was at the helm of this nation’s worst attack since 1941; George W Bush and Osama Bin Laden. Could two of the World’s icons have predicted and have been correct in both of their assumptions?

President Bush gave an historic speech after 9/11 in which he laid out the plan for America to combat terrorism. The press and future school books will just highlight the famous sentence, ”Either you are with us or you are with the terrorists”, and/or his “Axis of Evil” connotation. It goes much deeper than that. We were no longer to ‘react’ to an act of terrorism but confront it and defeat it before it could happen and to this day that policy has thwarted numerous potential attacks, some, in a nick of time.

Then, we have UBL. His plan was not just to attack America but to change the perception of terror and Islamic Jihad into a global conflict. This guy was wired tight and was hell bent on his ideas. He may have not had complete control over all his minions but they all took his ideas and ran with them. Today we have the ‘Arab Spring’, it is anything but. It is the demise of an already unstable part of the world into total anarchy lead by The Muslim Brotherhood.

It is here where the two come together. One act of a President and another from a devout terrorist has propelled the world into uncharted territory. Both spoke of changing the Middle East and both have opened a Pandora’s Box that will never close. It was inevitable anyways. This part of the world has always been a nightmare to negotiate regardless of your business being there. Blaming one (or the other) is fruitless, this was to be no matter how much we talked in the chambers of the UN.

It is no wonder that despite the rhetoric of Obama in 2008 to close GITMO, and reverse our policies on interrogation, some one in his staff opened up the TOP SECRET book entitled, “This is how fucked up the World is”. Obama had a “Things that make you go, hmmm” moment. This is why we carry those policies to this day. He had to.

In the mean time, the Middle East watched Obama on his ‘Apology’ tour and decided that it was high time to launch some rockets in Tunisia, Yemen, Egypt and Libya. The first three we did little to help. The last one? Well Moa mar had to go, had to erase that black stain of Lockerbie didn’t we? Plus that tool who got a “get out of jail free” card because he was sick, then hung around for a year..Is he dead yet? Then there is Syria, this place is an American Red Cross supply zone. These guys could just gather up the blood from the streets it is so thick.

There is a reason these nations were run by despots with an iron clad fist and jack boot on the throat. They had to be. Just read Leon Uris’s book The Hag and you get it. These people are nuts, totally out to lunch and they forgot the desert. Everything they wanted is now within their grasp. A total Caliphate from the Mediterranean to the borders of Vietnam! Hell they have foot soldiers in Indonesia for Christ’s sake!

So, the plan to defeat terrorism and the ideal to promote Jihad have gone hand in hand to create a global conflict that will span generations. Makes my head swim, I was just getting comfortable with the Soviets not pointing Nukes down my throat. Well it was nice while it lasted anyways. Now I have to worry about these backwards sand box aliens. Meanwhile we will send our troops and combat them around the globe. And so we should.

At least the Soviets loved their kids and did all they could to prevent war (well, except for a couple of times). These freaks teach their kids to hate and kill, and sometimes, they send them out for martyrdom.

The Reality of the Inevitable

The penchant of politicians to blame every one, everything except their own misguided policies is a as rampant as can be in Washington. The rhetoric of blame and denial in the face of a financial credit downgrade is another symptom of a psychological malady known as politics where the politics make good policy as aopposed to good policy making good politics. The blame game is simply just a symptom of the modern Liberalism that has slowly infected every facet of our lives to date. A perfect example was John Kerry invoking blame on the Tea Party; "this is the downgrade of the Tea Party..."..What? Remember how Columbine was the fault of America owning too many guns, didn't some fat guy make a movie about that once? I guess our $14 trillion debt is the Tea Party's fault.  Holy crap, did I drink 'that much' at the last rally?
I cannot understand why the President has remained silent on this recent S&P report. He usually has something to say about everything: Joe the Plumber, Cambridge police, that guy with ten kids who needs a large SUV, I have been trawling the internet and have not heard word one about this from the Chosen One. The trump card they always pull out (Bush's fault) goes unoticed by anyone any more. The stupified Liberals Pavlovianly wag their tails all the time anyway so who cares anymore? John Chambers of S&P gets down to brass tacks when he said that given our ratio of debt to growth, given that growth looks dismal, what choice did they have? These are facts, they are stubborn things and that is soooo imbarassing to this Administration!

I do not want to see Geithner resign from the Treasury. He is doing a fine job of reasurring an Obama defeat in 2012. Leave him right where he is! Leave Jeffery Imult as Jobs Czar. Hell, you think Bush and Haliburton were in bed together? These two probably have  secret love tape hidden somewhere. As least bush and Haliburton provided jobs to AMERICAN CONTRACTORS! GE has just shipped 50,000 jobs to Mexico to make the old fashion incandescent light bulbs while simultaneously helping to pass legislation that outlaws them here in the US in favor of "green bulbs" made in China..By GE..
I want to hear more of Nanny McPhee Moochelle's consternations on America's growing waist line while the media prints pictures of her stuffing a cheeseburger in her maw during every vacation. I want to hear more of Harry Reid lies while his brother continues to get financial kickbacks thanks to the Senator. Let it continue, someday Reid will be out of office and an Attorney General who really understands the law will put those two in jail. Speaking of AG's, I want the terrorists tried in Civilian Courts so half of them can sue us, return home, come back and blow something else up. Why?
Because facts are stubborn things and Americans have forgotten the one fact that we are nation born from facts. We are Exceptional on everything we do and represent but have forgotten it. We have medicated ourselves with political correctness, whined about our mommies and daddies and our Bi-polar condition, sucked a check every month because we have vertigo, or, OCD, we have grown up under Liberal Agendas and Bi partisan bullshit for so long that we truly do need a tire iron swung at our skulls to wake us the hell up again! So let us go bankrupt, let the well run dry. The only thing that will happen then is more blame, some rioting but eventually, eventually the hard truth will come shining through and we will be forced to get off the couch, or wheelchair, or off the Adavan..whatever.

The reality is that this Administration is run by radicals. Radicals who have been educated in the "I hate America" axiom. None of them understand business, none of them have a business education from what I can gather. Most of them have an education in Social Awareness (Lefties).  It is all well and good to say how you would like to teach the world to sing but what do you do when you realize it is not in perfect harmony with the tenor section determined to kill all of us?
The only hope for this country is the continued growth of the Tea Party as a national popular political movement. To galvanize the nation in the face of abhorrent obstacles is the hope of the Tea Party itself. Seeing the problems become more gargantuan is the only way for us to face the truth of our situation. So let it all happen because talking about it has yeilded nothing..

...Oh, and Mr President, stop invoking the words of Ronald Reagan. I remember Ronald Reagan, Ronald Reagan was my President. You Mr. President are no Ronald Reagan..

....And That Is The Diatribe...
